E11EVEN Hotel & Residences

Miami, Florida · Architectural relief

At E11EVEN Hotel & Residences in Miami, Andrew Antonaccio’s architectural relief brings his linear visual language into the building itself. The completed work uses raised and recessed surfaces, vertical grooves and repeating patterns across the facade. The photographs document exterior relief from several viewpoints, along with artwork inside the property. Together, they show how an image can take shape through physical depth as well as through a flat composition.

This project sits within the artist’s wider practice of murals, sculpture and architectural art. A facade is encountered at different distances: across the street, along its edges and close to the surface. The E11EVEN photographs make those changes of scale visible. Broad views establish the relationship between the relief and the architecture; closer images reveal the intervals, edges and shadows that give the surface its rhythm.

The gallery moves from the full facade to individual panels, corners and an interior view. Seen together, these images make the relationship between the artwork and its setting easier to follow, from the overall scale of the building to the depth of an individual line.

For an architectural art enquiry in Miami, share the proposed location, photographs of the building and the surfaces under consideration. A useful initial brief can also identify the intended audience, access requirements and project schedule. Those details help frame a conversation about scale and context without assuming that a future commission will repeat this one.
