Formula 1 Miami

Miami, Florida · Paddock & race control tower

Andrew Antonaccio’s Formula 1 Miami work brings turquoise and white murals to the paddock entrance and race control tower at the Miami Grand Prix. Linear compositions extend across the structures, turning architectural surfaces into a connected visual field. The existing photographs show the painted buildings and their relationship to entrances, walkways and surrounding spaces. They offer a record of the artwork as encountered within the setting of the event.

The project connects two areas of Andrew’s practice: mural painting and architectural art. Lines can describe a figure, create a pattern or help a composition travel around a building. Here, the visible work responds to large exterior surfaces rather than a single framed image. Looking at the entrance view alongside the wider building photograph makes it possible to compare the composition at different distances and from different approaches.

The two photographs provide complementary views of the work: one follows the entrance, while the other places the composition within a wider architectural setting. Together they invite a closer look at how the pattern crosses surfaces and changes with the viewing angle.

A new mural commission in Miami can begin with a discussion of the site and the ways people move through it. Share the proposed location, elevations or photographs, the intended surfaces and the project timetable. For event environments, it is also useful to describe visitor routes and access windows. These are starting points for a conversation, rather than a fixed specification for future work. Contact the studio to discuss your brief, or continue to E11EVEN and The Elser to see other relationships between Andrew’s artwork and Miami architecture.
